Wake Up to WFH Webinar: #5 Keep Calm & Stay Home
Today we are delighted to welcome Suzy Walker, who shares her perspective of living with her 17 year old son, on a 46ft boat in lockdown. And Polly Downes, defining the art of 'getting priorities straight' by bringing up 3 sane teenagers in the midst of this madness.
Wake Up to Working From Home our weekly reality check on all things WFH.
I’m Barry Ennis and today I’m delighted to welcome Suzy Walker, Editor In Chief of Psychologies Magazine.
And the very wonderful, Polly Downes. Resident Coach, specialising in coaching parents and families.
As we begin week 5 and are now face at least another 3 weeks of physical distancing and lockdown measures, as well as continued closures to schools, we discuss the realities of cabin fever, frayed tempers and the potential fatigue of those around us.
Are we becoming more physically and emotionally stretched than all the world's Zoom yoga could ever achieve? Or are you now sitting more comfortably, ready for a summer of stillness?
Is it just plain ridiculous to even think of being calm right now?
Suzy says she is so proud to be editor of Psychologies, a magazine that champions, challenges and coaches us to think differently so we can solve our own problems and create a life that nourishes us. She is also author of Making The Big Leap and The Big Peace
And Polly somehow keeps a smile on her face all day everyday while running a business, and taking care of 3 kids and dog on her own.
Our format is simple, we take 3 topics and share our insights. We’re not experts, but have real life experiences and ideas that we will share honestly and with a positive and practical focus.
It’s a panel discussion so you don’t need to worry about being on camera, just get a cuppa, sit back and watch and take part by sending us your views and questions in the chat box, as well as the live polls that will pop up throughout.
So today we are going to look at: PERSPECTIVE & PRIVACY and OTHER PEOPLE.
