Grow Leaders, not Followers

As you plan for the 2020, it is important to take stock and check in on what you could do differently as a leader. This leadership advice is equally applicable for us as parents, partners and in all personal and work relationships.

As we move on from 2019 and the last decade, I've made a short video sharing one tip from my forthcoming leadership book on growing leaders, not followers.

Definitely one for your 2020 leadership strategy.

In sharing one's achievements, it's important that it is balanced with the challenges and with sharing the failures.

Leaders (and parents) are often keen to show strength and provide security for their people BUT they must also balance that with vulnerability and learn to ask for help.

Leading as a superhero can discourage and disempower those who aspire to step up.

Happy New Year, everyone!
