Leading up to Christmas and into the New Year, I’m sharing one happiness hack a day, so that you can kick start 2019 feeling positive and with the best mindset for creating change.
Are you someone who smiles a lot? I know it can seem cheesy but smiling really can affect your happiness. When we use certain muscles in our bodies or we use particular body language, it sends instructions to our brains about how we feel.
But is it faking it?
Yes, but that doesn't mean that you're being inauthentic. It will feel weird at first and a little awkward, but eventually it will become natural to you. This is a great way of b- passing over-thinking, because you literally just smile bigger or change the way you're standing.
It's scientifically proven.
Yes, even science will tell you about this happiness hack. So if you don't believe me, try it for yourself. Smiling more often and bigger does, help you to feel happier.
