'I want to write a novel in 2015'

How to prioritize your writing and make it happen

If you really want to write a novel, but can't seem to make it happen, you're definitely not alone. Here are some of the strategies that made a massive difference to me when I was writing (and not writing!) my novel The Missing One. I hope they help to get you started on yours.

Dear Lucy, thank you so much for your tips. I needed this encouragement. It is indeed true that you can always think of a million tasks to do instead of writing. Although once I am in the process of writing I always very much enjoy it and regret it that I often leave too much time in between to do so. What you say about taking a step back is very much true as well, it sometimes just gives you the broader perspective you needed in order to continue.
And indeed, I am a writer!
For you as well a happy 2015 with lots of enjoyable moments of writing!
