Preparing to succeed - whatever it is you are doing - including surviving going to the dentist!
I work with people who need a bit of a helping hand to rediscover what makes them shine, be energised and succeed. This post gives you a simple model to help you prepare to succeed.
It always amazes me how powerful our self talk can be. I firmly believe that my mindset influences my behaviour which influences my results. If we think we are going to do well, really rock that presentation, make a great contribution to the meeting, discussion or conversation, chances are that we will prove ourselves right. Similarly, if we only focus on how things could go wrong we often live up to these expectations.
I'd like to share a very simple preparation tool that I use regularly - for things across all aspects of my life, from preparing to work with a client, to looking ahead to a conversation with my partner, to using with individuals, groups and teams to agree how the session/training/ workshop will go, to getting myself into the best mindset to go to the dentist!
The thinking behind this is set out below along with my recent dentist example.

Have a go and let me know what you think
