Neuroscience findings now amply show that play increases the connectivity of our brains, creating more behavioural flexibility and improving our potential for learning. In this context, play means spontaneity, fun and freedom, if you like, the art of mucking about. It’s about laughter, a lack of inhibitions, a willingness to be light and filled with laughter. Not only does it help connectivity, it also feels great and lifts mood.
