What's your story?
Come to our storytelling event and create a new story for your life.
I'm a great believer in story telling. As a coach, I know that that the story that we tell about ourselves and life can either sustain us or bring us down, create success and fulfillment or keep us mired in a victim-like state of paralysis. That's why I'm so excited about our event on Thursday. We are hosting a workshop with literary agent Jacqueline Burns and success coach Kate Tojeiro and we are going to look at the story that we're currently telling about our lives and deciding whether there may be a more empowering story to tell.
Here is a quick interview I did with Jacqueline Burns last week which will let you know what it's store.

I hope you can join us.

P.S
This workshop will help you to:
• Differentiate yourself by seeing your unique strengths and experience
• Connect with others through sharing stories
• See the habits and attitudes you’d like to change and those you want to strengthen
We will mix storytelling techniques with a look at the mindset of successful people and add a sprinkle of neuroscience to inspire us to grow into the next phase of our lives.
Join us to write the next chapter in your life with a clearer sense of how you would like it to unfold.
Jacqueline Burns, co-director of the London Writers’ Club and author of Write A Bestseller (Teach Yourself, £12.99, out 31 October), helps novelists and non-fiction writers tell their stories. When the year began with my fiftieth birthday, my partners affair with a nineteen year-old Colombian pole dancer and mums dementia diagnosis, I knew it was going to be shit. Australia seemed just about far enough away to get the perspective I needed and the best excuse I was ever going to get to see my old friend Angie.
The above quote quickly describes what was happening in my life and how I dealt with it. It's also the first couple of lines of the book I've written as a result. It wasn't something I was intending to do but it was the healing process that helped me work through and discover who I am.
I would have loved to come to your seminar, but I was away, on a writing course in the Algarve.
This event was a great thought-shifter....writing your entire back story in 10 mins (and hearing what aspects of their story others had focused on) was an excellent challenge and the two best questions of the night were 'What have you done for the first time recently?' and 'What will you do for the first time in the next week?'.
No excuse for inertia after this session....give those qu's a go!

Sorry you missed it Carole but it sounds like you've tapped into the power of storytelling already. Come along to London Writers' Club as my guest in December if you'd like to. Events on Londonwritersclub.com
