This week's assignment was the dubious challenge of climbing a tree. Alright then...

Full disclosure: I am not a hugely physical person in terms of my daily life - the most exercise I get on an average non-exercise day is walking around my workplace (i.e. campus). I've also recently given climbing on an indoor rock wall a go along with two of my colleagues, and it was a success in technicalities only (I got two foot up the wall then realised my choice of footwear was terrible).

So it was with no small of trepidation I ventured into my local woods, about three minutes away from where I live, to scale a tree. Which I did, to some success - I enjoy the actual clambering around of a big tree with plenty of support and connecting with nature was nice, although I'm still vastly in favour of walking around, soaking in the atmosphere.

This week's experiment was not one I'd be sure to repeat - nothing wrong with it per se, but I'll leave the climbing to the walls, and my woods-based explorations for fresh spring mornings, with my feet remaining firmly on the ground...
