The best things in life are free. Money factored in only works to
complicate things and is, in my opinion, the root of all evil. Taking
yourself out into the wilderness (or the local country park) is the
perfect way to tend to your wellbeing whilst providing stolen time for
relaxation and reflection while the kids learn to climb trees and bond
away from our technologically enhanced world.
For me it's the physicality of removing myself from the household chores
so that I don't feel guilty about sitting and doing nothing. Greenery
not only lifts my mood and reduces the stress of the daily grind but
also enables me to leave my worries behind and recognise what's truly
important to me. Finances and work will play on my mind for many years
to come I'm sure but within the blink of an eye my children will have
grown up, choosing to be out with friends over quality time with me so I
need to savour every second, exploring and going on adventures whilst
teaching them as best I can to be the loving, confident and independent
individuals I know they are.
So now I'm aiming to steal more time, as much as I can to be honest because life is short and beautiful and things can be missed with the blink of an eye.I'm working at making the most of every opportunity I have so that I can say that I truly have lived my life to the full.
Best wishes and much love,
Rebecca
