This is a bit of a short one this week as the assignment gives us the chance to get in touch with Mother Nature, and do a bit of 'guerilla planting'...

Admittedly I'm not the most green-fingered of people - I'm generally a fan of plants given that they give us oxygen and vegetation and the colour green (trivial, I know, but still). On the other hand, my work colleagues seem to be embracing plants in their own ways - from cacti on desks to the beginnings of a courtyard garden with sunflowers blooming.

For this week, I was leant some seeds by my neighbour and asked him not to tell me what they were. I then made sure to plant some in the garden and soil in my back garden and on the way to work. Planting them felt... potent and powerful, like the beginning of something resting in my hand. It might

This experiment might have been the quickest of the Wake Up! experiments so far, but it's one of the most... spiritual I suppose. It's reawakened my vague love for all things horticultural, and while I can't see myself renovating a full garden anytime soon, I'll definitely be getting a few plants and seeds for myself...
