National Random Acts of Kindness Day

Inspiring children to spread kindness

Like Comment

In my latest book - The Gateway Junior Edition - improving and supporting children's mental health I have written about National Random Acts of Kindness Day  which falls on 17th February. The following is an excerpt from the Mindfulness and Emotions chapter.

"Random Acts of Kindness Day is during the month of February and it is a great way to teach children about kindness, compassion and the whole 'pay it forward' mentality. Sometimes children come up with some great ideas such as:

Leave money in a vending or parking machine
Paint a rock with a smile and leave it for someone to find
Pick up litter
Let someone go ahead of you in the queue
Pay someone a compliment
Donate to a charity shop or food bank
Share
Do someone else's chores without them knowing"

What acts of kindness will you be doing this week?
