“Sorry, but I’d like to ask a question….”
or
“Sorry, but I have no right to claim this space/time as mine so am prefacing everything I say with sorry to make myself small and unnoticeable…don’t look at me”
If this sounds familiar, either about you or someone you know, watch this video (even though it’s a shampoo commercial it speaks to me) and then try to eradicate that word from your vocabulary for one week. N.B. Unless you genuinely are sorry, like you knock someone over in the street or something…then it’s allowed. ;>)
