A Funny Thing Happened in a BBC Bar...
A while back I was interviewed for a woman's blog by BBC presenter, Laura Rawlings. In a BBC bar, but I was completely sober, honestly.
'Meet me in the BBC bar' she said.
How exciting, I thought.
To be honest it wasn't very exciting at all and I didn't see anyone famous, except Dr Phil Hammond, but then I remember him from his junior doctor days so that wasn't wildly exciting (he's very funny though. I once did his radio show and he left the mic on while making some scurrilous remarks about a certain ex female prime minister. It was a classic.)
But back to the story. I sat with my knitting (!) waiting for Laura to finish her show. That woman is a true professional and just got on with the interview regardless of noises off. The interview was pretty wide ranging and of course, it has been edited to make me sound much better that I'm sure I did.
