I loved this experiment! Having a young family, multiple jobs and endless hobbies and activities to get to, I was always a convenience kind of cook. Opening a jar is easier than cooking from scratch, cheaper than buying fresh ingredients and less time consuming than making my own food...how wrong can you be?! This might be cheating slightly but I joined Slimming World back in September and my cooking style was transformed. Once you've grasped a few recipes and picked up some key ingredients (slightly more expensive than jars but they last MONTHS, not kidding) it's plain sailing. I know exactly what I'm eating and feeding my family; my skin is more radiant and I am enjoying more culinary delights. Home made food is so much nicer than processed foods; it even gives takeaways a run for their money (and can save you a mint too). If you cook in bulk you can always freeze a few batches so the next time it's a case of defrosting and heating up if you don't enjoy the cooking side of things and with no effort at all. I've found a new passion for cooking, I find new recipes to try each week and I'm having help from the children and the OH.

Much love and best wishes,

Rebecca
