A Shout Out To Those Who Walk Alone. You are the bomb!

There is a lot of information on how we need others to succeed in life. And this is an incomplete, but very comforting, truth, which holds people in lack of power. The deeper truth is that you have all it takes!

Today I read a FB post from a so-called ‘tribe leader’ claiming that we don’t get far in our success alone. And from another saying that you can’t build a business on your own. These kinds of statements are popular in the field of entrepreneurial business and personal development. Especially from those who make money from this kind of thinking.

They talk about the importance of ’Tribe’. Of having people around you to cheer you on, support you and be there for you to succeed. That we need others to see our value and the value of the path we walk.

Aho, brothers and sisters. There is truth in these statements. And a lot of falseness.

You are the power
It is the falseness in this kind of thinking that inspired me to write this post. Because the real truth is you can go the distance on your own. You have all that it takes. You don’t need a tribe. You don’t need other people to see your value. Or the value of what you stand for. In fact, personally I’d recommend that you don’t rely on that kind of support for your success. And we need to know that before adorning our path with external beauty.

So today, I want to make sure that a deeper truth is available to all of you out there with dreams, who don’t right now have a tribe to cheer you on. To whose of you who think you need other people’s support to pursue your dreams. You don’t! It is simply not true. There are plenty of examples of people that came from nothing and rose to the greatest success by going it alone. I can share tons from my own experience.

In fact, I’d say you need to be able to go it on your own if you want to succeed in the long term. Especially if you want to break away from the mainstream. Offer something innovative or unique. And let me explain to you why – it is truth based in principle.

  • Your power to succeed ONLY comes from within. It cannot authentically be sourced from any place outside of yourself. And when you access this power, you have access to everything you need.

  • Your success comes from YOU valuing what you do. Not from what other people think or value. You need to find that belief and trust in yourself. And commit to it.

  • Only you have the authentic power to pick yourself up, to find the right answers, to find the solutions and to heal whatever comes your way. The more you listen to yourself, the more powerful you will be in the long term.

Then the path becomes clear. You become unshakeable.

Being on your own, does not mean being alone
What you do need to know, though, is that going it alone does not mean being alone or unsupported!

When you align yourself and tap into your authentic source of power, you will find out that you are supported. You are supported by a force greater than you or any other person who you surround yourself with. People and incidents will show up for you along the way. If only for a moment. But it will be the right moment with the right thing you need on your onwards journey. You will know where to go and who to ask along the way. And it will often time be people you don’t know that will be the most important to you. You need to commit and find the power within, and then support will come along.

The only way up is in
External validation can and will be taken away from you. This is the natural path of the evolutionary journey. So buying into the belief that you need tribes and other people’s support to succeed will only create an inauthentic, fragile platform for you to rise on. You can choose to build your success on this scaffold of external validation. Or you can step into your authentic power and know that you don’t need anyone but yourself to succeed.

It is great - awesome - life inspiring to have people around you who believe in you, support you and can be joyful with you – and comfort you in times of darkness. I have that. But it is not what makes me. And it is not what will make you.

Instead ask yourself. Will you commit to your dreams even if no one supports you? Will you do what is right for you even when all around you say you are nuts? Will you find the answers yourself even if no one can tell you? Will you be there for you when all others have turned their back? Will you still be an unstoppable power source when no one applauds you or believe in you?

When you come from that place in yourself. Then you become unstoppable. And honestly, what you believe become your reality. So what do you want to believe? That you have all that it takes or that you need others to be who you were here to become?

Great post Maiken! Power comes from within, and any questions of worth and value must also be answered from within. Working alone requires a determination and level of self belief that can’t be bought by hiring or outsourcing. Anyone considering running their own business should start from where they are, with what they’ve got because all they need is  is already inside them. Tap into their own “unstoppable power source”.
