Prioritisation - a quick and dirty technique to get you moving.
Hi, I'm Pete Mosley. I'm a coach, speaker and author of The Art of Shouting Quietly – a guide to self-promotion for introverts and other quiet souls. Extrovert or introvert, quiet or loud, confidence can be an issue for all of us. This post suggests a really quick technique you can use if you are feeling stuck or have lost sight of your priorities.

If you are feeling stuck, or you have lost sight of your priorities, try this...
Get a large sheet of paper, draw a line down the middle, copy the headings (More of, Less of), then rapidly make both lists. Don't over-think it.
Think about the stuff on the right hand side - these are the things that deserve your focus right now.
If you have listed more than three things on the right, what are the top three?
Now - what small thing could you do over the next few days that will move each of these things forward? Even tiny steps towards them count as progress! If you like setting goals, set a simple goal for each of them.
This the sort of list that's worth living with for a while. If you can, do the exercise on a large sheet of paper and stick the sheet up on your wall. That way you can add to or amend it as you take the time to let your initial thinking set in.
It may be that some bigger thinking emerges from this - you identify a possible change of direction, perhaps - or the need to change your behaviour somehow. That's when a coach can really help - there's only so much we can do on our own.
