Wake up sleepy head

Wake Up is all about breaking old habits and removing auto-pilot as much as possible. The more you try the easier it gets and I can say to anybody that if you want to 'wake up' you can, and by doing so you will get more out of life and feel happier about your place in society instead of chasing 'dreams' all the time and wanting to be seen rather than heard. Chasing dreams is fine, it's great, it's beautiful, but who and why are you doing it for anyway?

I say; stop, relax and take it easy. Actually that makes me sound like that sexy bunny rabbit in the old Cadbury's Caramel TV commercials way back when. And I don't mind admitting she was sexy. Arrest me for falling in love with a bunny rabbit with a west-country drawl when I was a kid. Shoot me!

No please don't. Stay with me for another minute of your life.

When we are children there is no place for auto-pilot. It just doesn't exist in kids. There is so much to learn, so much going on and 'growing' to do, it is the best time in our life. Every day is painted in radiant technicolor! It's brightness dazzles and keeps every kid away from auto-pilot. It is the time before responsibilities. Yeah-yeah!

For this wake up challenge let's go all the way back to when you were young and design something from nothing. It could be anything you want. It could be a board game or absolutely anything you want. It could be made from cereal boxes or empty bog rolls or an old sock, who cares, just have a go. And even if you don't follow it through to the end just imagine it in all it's glory.

If you don't get as far as getting the pencils and paper out, at least dream it for a while. You'll enjoy that moment when you connect with your inner kid.

That's the wake up challenge I'm setting for anyone who wants to actually Wake Up. Try it, unless you just want to carry on living like the person in the Beatles song A Day in the Life; "Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head. Found my way downstairs and drank a cup, looking up I noticed I was late. Found my coat and grabbed my hat, made the bus in seconds flat. Found my way upstairs and had a smoke. Somebody spoke and I went into a dream......................

Let's WAKE UP people and start living and loving the life we've been given!
