If you want to be happier and more of the person you want to be then I have something that you’re gonna love!
It’s called the wheel of life and it’s a really really effective way of identifying where you need to up your game.
It’s designed to get you looking at 8 different areas of your life and rating them out of 10. Once you’ve done that you can look at your results and see what needs improving.
The areas are:
Your physical environment (house, car clothes etc), career, money, health, friends and family, romance, personal growth and fun & recreation.
I’ve taken it one step further though and used each area as a journalling prompt in my morning mindset practice.
What I do is write out my level 10 life in all 8 areas as if it was already happening. I write about the beautiful home I live in, the amazing friendships I have, my thriving business and my epic level of health and fitness etc.
By doing this I fully and completely allow myself to be absorbed in this vision of myself and when I’m clear on the person I want to be and allow myself to get into that mindset, I can see what aligned actions I need to take to be that person.
“Act and make decisions from the place you want to be, not from where you are.”
I’ve heard this saying a lot over the past year but it’s only really been in the past month that I’ve felt it’s true power.
Writing out this level 10 version of my life in great detail every single day has cemented in my brain that this is what I’m aiming for and that it’s already happening. All I need to do to make it happen is act like that version of me where I can and before I know it, it will be me.
This stuff is really great at calling you out on your BS because if you’re writing down in detail what you want your life to be like and you’re not doing the things you’d be doing at that level, you need to ask yourself why not?
Not everything is dependent on money and time, the most important changes you can make, you can start making today!
If the level 10 version of you wakes up everyday and goes for a run, drinks green juices and meets up regularly with friends to catch up, then you need to do that too, right now!
Look at the habits you have now and ask yourself if the person you want to be shares those habits? If no, change them. This can be physical stuff but it can also be mental stuff like how much you gossip or judge other people on their appearance etc.
What values does the level 10 version of you have and are you behaving in alignment with them now?
The more you get clear on who that version of you is and start to behave like them, the sooner you will become them.
This is how you become happier, more successful and more fulfilled. Practice getting clear on this version of yourself and getting into the mindset of it being your reality now and I promise you will see major shifts in your life!
