Enaging in the election

Like Comment

After a very productive Easter break I think it is my time to suggest a new challenge. I still have to complete Fiona’s which will be a massive one for me as I don’t relish cooking at the best of times! I will do the challenge though as it will definitely get me out of my comfort zone!

So, for my next challenge I am being a bit unBritish? A bit unhygge?

I thought about whether this was an appropriate challenge – should I keep things light and fluffy? But no in these times I am going to my more Latin side and saying it:

My challenge to you is to in some way really engage in this upcoming election.

I know we are all fed up with politics, elections, spin, broken promises, but I don’t think we can sit on the side lines any more as there is too much at stake.

We don’t have to publicly state our allegiances, but the challenge is to listen and read what is being put forward. Question our own views, listen to the views of those we might not necessarily agree with: not turn off!

Let me know your thoughts.

Mother, wife, daughter, teacher...

Firmly stuck in the 'sandwich generation' category, I am 46 years old and looking to shake things up a bit! I am a teacher, which I love - but it takes over your life! A mother of three - two daughters, 16 and 15, a son aged 11. Wife to Simon for 19 years. Carer for rather eccentric mum, aged 89.
