We thought you might find this review paper interesting - it explores the benefits of yoga for pregnancy-related low back and pelvic pain.
During pregnancy, the ligaments in the body naturally become softer and stretch to prepare for labour. This can put a strain on the joints of the lower back and pelvis, which can cause backache and pelvic pain.
Fifteen articles were included in this review, with authors concluding that, although additional research is required, the results suggest that clinicians may consider recommending non-pharmacologic treatment options, such as yoga-based interventions, for pregnancy-related low back and pelvic pain and related symptoms.
