I'm noticing...

In week 46 of the Great Wake-Up our challenge was to carry a notebook at all times and write down what we notice.

This was a really interesting challenge. I cheated a bit (as per usual) as I am rubbish at remembering to write things down... I guess that was the first thing I noticed - notes are not my natural milieu... But that doesn't mean my antennae are switched off!

I noticed the beautiful red cherry leaf that fell in my pond.

I noticed the abundance of shining purple on my beauty berry bush.

I noticed a new parking dent in my lovely red car (grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr).

I noticed the blue sky and bright sun the day before my cycling lesson - and the grey drizzle on the day itself... (Still had a brilliant lesson - if you're not a confident cyclist I would definitely recommend some lessons - it's amazing the simple things that make it easier that you may never work out for yourself!)

I noticed the sense of relief when I took some time out to catch up on some jobs that were getting on top of me.

I noticed the ability of dear friends to disagree with respect for each other. (I noticed how lucky this means I am in a world where views seem increasingly polarised!)

I noticed the excitement when I learned about a new development in my specialism - and a chance for me to engage with others about it.

I noticed how my imagination stirred when I attended an event with my husband that wouldn't normally have come onto my radar - there is no experience that can't stimulate new ideas and tangents. I noticed how easy it is to forget that when we're busy...

I noticed that sometimes the best thing to do is dress up and show up - even when you don't want to.

What a fantastic week! I've noticed I want to keep my sensors alert for what comes next!

You are so right- sometimes just keep on showing up and noticing the world around you - it is always a remedy, although it might take time!

agree massively with dress up and show up... you never know where this may lead and what unexpected adventure awaits x

I guess ignorance is bliss sometimes like when you noticed your car dent!lol but you have painted a beautiful picture of day to day life when you wear those noticing glasses xxx
