Week forty’s challenge was to help raise awareness for the Great Wake Up app launch. At first I was a bit stumped with this one because I’m a bit of a Luddite who doesn’t do Facebook, Twitter or any other type of social networking and was unsure how I could spread the word.

As everyone knows I’ve loved ‘wake up’. Every minute, every challenge, the changes and development in me and my focus, the people I’ve come to know, the sharing, the friendship – loved it, loved it all! I threw myself into it wholly and found magic at every turn. So I felt I needed to give something back by finding some way of spreading the good news.

After discussing my dilemma and plans to help spread the word with Sarah, she suggested I put it on our pub’s Facebook page. We have a membership of 1,900 people. DOH! Why didn’t I think of that (probably because I’m a Luddite, ahem)? Who cares who came up with the idea I followed through with it (Rik Mayall’s face and laughter enters my head as he mouths the words ‘follow through’. I love the Young Ones; “farty breath!”).

And so it came to be on Thursday 29th September 2016. Check it out on www.facebook.com/bluebell.malvern

I feel the more people waking up the better for everyone. Amen

Take it easy

PS Here's a picture of Bobby for his fan club (okay Fi?), taken on the 17th September when Bobby, Sarah, Pete and I walked the length of the Malvern Hills for Help the Heroes. As you can see I shared my medal with the Bobster - yeah-yeah!

I shared it too but it didn't get any likes... these people don't know what they are missing. Bobster isn't he the bomb... so handsome .. is he coming to Birmingham 😁

I said to Sarah I wanted to bring the Bobster with me to Birmingham to meet all his fans but Sarah said the tapas people (did you like that?) will not allow the Bobster (AKA The Duke of Malvern) anywhere near food. She is probably correct (unfortunately). I will say this though where ever he goes he has many admirers. Everyone loves the Bobster! yeah-yeah!
