This week's challenge? Spend some time with our sunrises and sunsets - from dawn til dusk then...

Fun fact: I love a good sunrise/sunset (I know, I'm only in the vast, vast majority of people who enjoy them too), but I rarely get to see them, unless we're in specific times of the year, and I end up either waking up in time to see a sunrise (in the winter) or seeing one as I go to sleep (in the summer). Chris' challenge was designed, I presume, to give us the chance to explore these natural phenomena and use them as a way to calm our minds.

I loved being able to use this challenge as a way to take time out for a sunset. Using Google, I found rough sunset times in my area, and made sure I was home from work for those times, in the back garden, to enjoy them. For a whole week, I made sure that this time wasn't disturbed, and I saw it as a little coda to the end of my working day; and it's something I'm sure to do again when the weather is a little bit nicer...

(Side note: I've been in Scotland this past week, which is utterly gorgeous, and ironically, this assignment would have been perfect. We stayed on the northwestern coast in Gairloch, and the view over the sea was radiant. Couldn't have asked for a better view.)

I agree Scotland is gorgeous! I love the people too - honest, hard working and straight talking. We are so lucky living on this island - Scotland, Wales and England have so many gorgeous places to visit! When will the people of this country realise this and take it easy and appreciate what we have on this island? We are so lucky!
