Louise Jones is a Dumfries schoolgirl with a love of stories and an ambition to write. Here she explains how her love of literature began and has been nurtured by joining the JMB Creatives - a group of young people closely involved with the Moat Brae house and garden. This is the place where Peter Pan began, which has been saved from demolition to become the new National Centre for Children's Literature and Storytelling.
Moat Brae is where the young J.M. Barrie and his friends played the games that gave rise to Peter Pan. This magnificent house and garden are about to open to the public as the new National Centre for Children's Literature and Storytelling. In the coming weeks I will be posting blogs by some of the young people who have been involved in the project. First though, I'd like to give a bit of the background.
