Chris set us the task this week of switching our watches to our other hands and sticking a smiley face on our watch hand instead. I suspect the intent was to make sure that everytime we checked the time, we also got to centre ourselves in the moment and remember that our mental health is more important than our schedules.

This experiment worked out well for me in the week just gone - I've been trying to balance work responsibilities with my Masters module exams and with preparing for Christmas. Being able to look down at my hand and see a little sign of reassurance, a sign that everything was going to be okay as long as I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and reset myself back to my calmest self.

Would I do the experiment again? Maybe. Definitely not on a regular basis as the smiley face got more than a few curious looks (but that's not a bad thing) and it wasn't ideal for meetings at work. But when it comes to resetting your frazzled, overworked mind, into becoming better simply by the virtue of seeing your own smiley face rather than your watch, I'm definitely won over by this little act...

Great Chris! The smiley face sounded like it shook up the meeting! Big love C x
